Tour Itinerary

Days : 1 Arrival in Beijing
Upon arrival at Airport, you will be greeted by our guide and transferred to the hotel. The rest day is free to have the chance for shopping or to explore this booming city at your own pace.  

Days : 2 Beijing
Today's adventure begins at Tian'anmen Square, the largest public space on earth. Passing through the Heavenly Peace Gate and walking into the Forbidden City, you will step back in time and home to the Imperial Courts of Ming and Qing Dynasties for more than 500 years. After lunch, visit the Temple of Heaven, one of China's most photographed attractions, where the Chinese Emperors were known, worshipped the gods and prayed for good harvests. (B+L)  

Days : 3 Beijing
Leave the bustle and traffic of Beijing behind and journey through the countryside to see one of the Wonders of the World – The Great Wall. Along the way, you will stop at a jade carving factory where you can watch artisans at work. After lunch you will visit the massive tomb complex of the Ming Emperors where you will walk along the "Sacred Way" passing between pairs of huge stone sculptures.(B+L)  

Days : 4 Beijing - XiAn
This morning you will visit the Summer Palace, the best preserved of all imperial palace gardens. Fly to XiAn, the tour guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel.(B+L)  

Days : 5 XiAn
Today you will visit what for many is the high point of their trip to China - the excavation site of the Terra-Cotta Warriors, you will have plenty of time to explore the site, get a good look at the warriors from various vantage points and visit the excellent museum. After lunch, go on visiting the Big Goose Pagoda, built in 652 AD to house Buddhist scriptures from India. (B+L)  

Days : 6 XiAn
Your adventure begins at Provincial History Museum, where you will see artifacts from the Paleolithic period, priceless Tang Dynasty bronzes and treasures from the Silk Road caravans. After lunch and a short break, continue to visit the City Wall, the Great Mosque, a best-preserved Islamic mosque in China and focus for the 30,000 Chinese Muslims of XiAn.(B+L)  

Days : 7 XiAn - Lhasa
This morning you will visit the Hanyangling Museum. You will also tour the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi. Fly to Lhasa in the afternoon. The tour guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel.(B)  

Days : 8 Lhasa
Today you will visit the magnificent Potala Palace. Have lunch and take a short rest. In the afternoon, go on visiting the Sera Monastery, then you will move on to the Norbulingka Park and have supper at the hotel.(B)  

Days : 9 Lhasa
Your adventure begins at the Jokhang Temple, then you will move on to the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street, after lunch and a short break, continue to visit the the Tibet Museum and the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital. Then you will move on to the Carpet Factory and have supper at the hotel.(B)  

Days : 10 Lhasa - Chongqing
Fly to Chongqiong. You will continue to visit the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo if time permits. Then board the Yangtze River cruiser.(B)  

Days : 11 Chongqing - Fengdu
Your memorable Yangtze River tour begins today. You will take a short break from the fabulous natural scenery to visit spectacular along the river, Fengdu Ghost City, where the devil lives, according to Chinese legend.(B+L+D)  

Days : 12 Shennong Stream
This morning you will sail through miles of stunning gorges. In the afternoon you will arrive at Badong where you will disembark for a magical excursion down the Shennong Stream. Local trackers will pull us in wooden sampans through awesome gorges and lush pine forests. Along the way you will see the remnants of ancient roads and pass cliff-top grottos that held the coffins of warriors. If you are lucky, you will glimpse rare animals, such as the golden-haired monkey.(B+L+D)  

Days : 13 Yichang - Shanghai
Today you will visit the Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydroelectric man-made dam in the world. You will disembark at Yichang at noon. Take a flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel.(B)  

Days : 14 Shanghai
This morning, you will visit the Shanghai Museum, a large museum of ancient Chinese art. The exterior design of the round dome and the square base symbolizes the ancient idea of a round heaven and a square land. After lunch, you will also tour the Old Town with its winding alleyways, lined with shops, teahouses and restaurants, and to the elegant and tranquil Yu Garden. Continue to visit the Bund, a popular promenade along the Huangpu River, where the old meets the modern in Shanghai. (B+L)  

Days : 15 Departure from Shanghai

The cost was minimal compared to the fun I had! First we toured the Forbidden City and our guide, Leo, was wonderful! He shared great knowledge and gave us time to explore on our own. The first day includes Badaling Great Wall and Changling Ming Tombs with visits to the Jade Factory and Tea Ceremony place. The second day includes Tian An Men + Forbidden City, Tian Tan, and Summer Palace with visits to the Pearl Factory and Bao Shu Tang where we got a nice foot massage for only 20 Kuai.  The itinerary and tour service, especially the first day with David were absolutely amazing! He is a great tour guide, with excellent command in English as well as a nice personality. The second day with Paul was a little bit too fast for our liking. He spoke too fast and a little bit unclear, and seem like almost too in rush for anything so I think that could be improved in the future. The meal in our second day was amazing though! Delicious! This is a further away section but much quieter and definitely worth the extra travel. I visited Mitanyu previously which was very busy. Two hikes were available 7km and 13km. I took the 7km which was still quite challenging. Spent 2.5 hours on the wall. It’s an amazing experience. After hiking we had a late lunch at a local restaurant and then headed back to Beijing. There is no shopping, although there are a few hawkers on the wall. Make sure you take lots of water and sunscreen with you as it can get quite hot in Summer. The tour guide and driver were excellent and can recommend this trip. The travel time is quite long so bring a tablet and headphones to keep you entertained true More calishandysg 5.0 We had a great 3-day tour. Most of it was a walking tour that required stamina. The cost was a good deal that included 3 lunch meals. The tour guides Yoyo, Irish and Vik were very knowledgable about their history. Their English was good, but at times could not understand their accent.  The Lunch for the 3 days were good but on the 2nd and 3rd day, we were brought to the same restaurant. The service in the Great wall restaurant was good. Food was prepared on the table when we arrived. Unlike in the 2nd restaurant, food was served one at a time, hence time-consuming. The mandatory stops, total of 5 in 3days: Jade factory, Tea factory, Pearl factory, Silk factory, Foot massage were informative but the time spent there could have been added for picture-taking in the tourist places.
